El futuro de nuestros empleos, el encarecimiento de la cesta de la compra o la inestabilidad geopol\u00edtica son preocupaciones compartidas por todos los gallegos y el conjunto de los europeos. Para subirnos al tren del siglo XXI, la Uni\u00f3n Europea nos exige una mayor autonom\u00eda estrat\u00e9gica, que pasa por reindustrializarnos, generar empleo y riqueza, y hacernos menos dependientes de terceros pa\u00edses.<\/p>\n<p>Y Galicia tiene muy buenas condiciones para liderar esta adaptaci\u00f3n. Somos una tierra llena de ideas y posibilidades, una regi\u00f3n moderna e innovadora, con fuertes servicios p\u00fablicos y una administraci\u00f3n estable y que funciona. Pero, si queremos que Galicia siga siendo el mejor lugar del mundo para vivir, no podemos dejar pasar ninguna oportunidad.<\/p>\n<p>En ese contexto, el proyecto industrial en Palas de Rei es una oportunidad \u00fanica para fijar poblaci\u00f3n y revitalizar nuestra econom\u00eda en una zona con altos niveles de envejecimiento y que sufre la fuga de nuestro mayor capital: los j\u00f3venes. Hablamos de una inversi\u00f3n de 1.000 millones de euros que generar\u00e1 2.500 empleos en la segunda provincia m\u00e1s envejecida de Espa\u00f1a. Un tren rumbo al futuro que a\u00fana innovaci\u00f3n, empleo y sostenibilidad bajo un mismo objetivo: reindustrializar Galicia y, por ende, Europa.<\/p>\n<p>Como es l\u00f3gico, para seguir adelante, este proyecto \u2014como cualquier otro\u2014 debe cumplir con una serie de condiciones medioambientales. Los t\u00e9cnicos de la Xunta est\u00e1n muy acostumbrados a realizar este tipo de procedimientos y nunca ha habido problemas. La declaraci\u00f3n de impacto ambiental recientemente publicada confirma, tras un riguroso an\u00e1lisis t\u00e9cnico \u201434 informes de 42 t\u00e9cnicos\u2014, que Altri cumple con los est\u00e1ndares medioambientales m\u00e1s exigentes.<\/p>\n<p>Por ello es especialmente desconcertante ver c\u00f3mo el BNG se enroca contra esta cuesti\u00f3n. Tres veces han preguntado a la Comisi\u00f3n Europea por este proyecto y tres veces la Comisi\u00f3n les ha dicho que los competentes para decidir la viabilidad del proyecto son los t\u00e9cnicos de la Xunta. No sorprende a nadie: Europa est\u00e1 llena de este tipo de industrias \u2014en Austria, Suecia o Finlandia\u2014 y muchas de ellas han recibido fondos europeos. De hecho, Europa no nos est\u00e1 pidiendo m\u00e1s industria, nos la est\u00e1 exigiendo.<\/p>\n<p>Yo tengo mi casa a 40 km de Palas de Rei y les aseguro que estoy muy tranquilo. No entiendo por qu\u00e9 el BNG llena las calles de pancartas, muchas de ellas hechas de la misma fibra textil que producir\u00e1 Altri, mientras rechazan una inversi\u00f3n hist\u00f3rica para la tierra que dicen defender. La \u00fanica explicaci\u00f3n posible es su vocaci\u00f3n de oposici\u00f3n: quieren permanecer en ella para siempre y no paran de invertir en ello. Al mismo tiempo, est\u00e1n empe\u00f1ados en que volvamos a vivir en castros.<\/p>\n<p>Con el BNG intentado matar moscas a ca\u00f1onazos, el \u00fanico que puede frenar este proyecto de inter\u00e9s estrat\u00e9gico es S\u00e1nchez. El Gobierno central tiene que desbloquear los fondos europeos correspondientes y facilitar las condiciones para que salga adelante. Sabemos que la \u00fanica gallega que de verdad le importa a S\u00e1nchez es Yolanda Diaz, pero ser\u00eda un esc\u00e1ndalo que se atreviese a perjudicar a Galicia s\u00f3lo por fastidiar a la Xunta y al PP.<\/p>\n<p>En definitiva, Galicia cuenta con el talento, los recursos y la ambici\u00f3n necesarios. Ha llegado el momento de liderar la reindustrializaci\u00f3n europea desde nuestra tierra.
